2024 VBS Mission Project Information:
Our local outreach this year will be the Community Drop-In Center at Holy Trinity Lutheran in Newark. This facility is open T, W, Th from 10 – 2pm. for people who are experiencing homelessness. People can come, grab a meal, have a place to charge their phones, get services rendered, have a mailing address, escape the summer heat, and just rest for a few hours.
VBS children will collect sack lunch items that can be used at the center each day. These items, along with a sandwich made on site, go a long way to help our neighbors in tough times.
Our global outreach will be the children of Haiti, those served by the Healing Arts Mission of Haiti. This organization was founded by Granville resident, Dr. Tracee Laing and has served the people of Haiti for many years. Under the current crisis in Haiti, our financial support is more important than ever. The school founded by the organization is still in operation. Education is the best hope for these children, to better their futures and contribute to the overall good of the country. Our children will donate coins and collectively we can support this important mission. 2023 VBS Mission Project Information:
