When & where do I pick up my t-shirt (Adult/Teen/Student/LVBS)?
T-shirt Pick-up (Adult, Teen, Student & LVBS) will be at St. Edwards Church (785 Newark Granville Rd, Granville).
Saturday (June 8) or Sunday (June 9 ) 1:00 to 3:00 pm.
When & Where should I arrive for VBS Assembly?
Monday Only — Class guides arrive at 8:30AM and go to your assigned area in the 1st Presbyterian Church Sanctuary.
8:45AM Class guides (Adult & Teen) report to your assigned area in the 1st Presbyterian Church Sanctuary.
8:50AM Students report to assigned area in 1st Presbyterian Church Sanctuary.
9:00AM VBS Opening Assembly begins in 1st Presbyterian Church, downtown Granville.
What if I didn't get to St. Edwards for t-shirt pick up on Saturday or Sunday?
Arrive early Monday morning at 8:30AM and come to the registration table in the lobby of 1st Presbyterian Church.
Is a daily snack provided?
Yes, a daily snack is provided Monday through Friday. On Friday there will be a picnic for all students and their families. Students with dietary restrictions should plan to bring their own snack daily. Should you have any questions about the daily snack please email Jenni Whitford - jwhitford@granpres.org
Will a nurse be available for medicine or medical emergency?
Unexpired required medications, (epi pen, inhalers, etc.) must be checked in and checked out with the nurse every day. The nurse will ensure the class guides have the medications with them throughout the morning.
Please check in with the nurse on Monday morning in the VBS central office at1st Presbyterian Church.
The nurse on duty will provide any immediate medical attention or designate further medical attention based on your registration form.
What if I need to pick up my child for an emergency or sudden change of plans?
Please call 1st Presbyterian Church of Granville office (740 587-0178).
Or come in person to 1st Presbyterian Church of Granville office (110 W Broadway, Granville).
What time is pick up from VBS?
Monday through Thursday, parents will pick up children at 1st Presbyterian Church of Granville Sanctuary by12:00 noon - Parents will be required to sign their child out with the class guide.
PLEASE NOTE — Friday, the Closing Ceremonies end at 11:00 am. Children are dismissed to their parents at 11:00 am from 1st Presbyterian Church Sanctuary to attend Family Celebration Picnic.
Children must be accompanied by their parent/guardian at the celebration picnic.
Is there an inclement/severe weather plan?
Rain Showers Only—VBS will be held as scheduled (untented locations will be moved inside).
Severe Weather (lightning and thunder) - An email message will be sent that morning by 8:00AM should VBS be delayed or cancelled.
About the Family Picnic
The picnic begins after the closing celebration (aprox. 11:15) outside at First Presbyterian Church (FPC).
Parents plan to pick children up by 11:00 and stay for the picnic — parents must accompany their children.
Please bring the following items for donation no later than Thursday pickup. (There will be drop boxes at drop-off)
Last name beginning A—L : 1 package hot dog buns
Last name beginning M—Z : 1 package cookies (NO nuts -- peanuts &/or tree nuts -- please)
I'm an Adult Volunteer (Volunteer Training June 6th at 10am or 7pm at 1st Presbyterian Church)
Rotation Leaders please report to rotation locations daily upon arrival.
Class Guides please report to your class area in the 1st Presbyterian Sanctuary upon arrival by 8:45am (Monday only 8:30 am).
Class Guides will have a basket to carry throughout the day with class information, supplies, and the daily schedule.
Please visit the Hospitality Room for snacks and beverages.
I'm a Teen Volunteer (Volunteer Training June 6th at 10am or 7pm at Centenary UMC)
Please meet the Teen Coordinator, by 8:30AM on Monday.
Remainder of week report to assigned class area/rotation (for time, please check with your Rotation Leader).
Please visit the Hospitality Room for snacks and beverages.
Teen Class Guides will pick-up snack for your group in the FPC kitchen at the designated time.
